The term Mideast Strip refers to the Gaza Strip, a narrow strip of land located on the eastern coast of the Mediterranean Sea. It is bordered by Israel to the north and east, Egypt to the south, and the Mediterranean Sea to the west. The Gaza Strip is home to over two million Palestinians and is governed by the Palestinian Authority. It has been the site of numerous conflicts between Israel and Palestine, most recently in 2014.
