Michigan is a state located in the Great Lakes region of the United States. It is divided into 83 counties, each with its own government and services. Two of these counties are Kalamazoo and Kent. Kalamazoo County is located in the southwestern part of the state and has a population of over 250, 000 people. It is home to Western Michigan University and Kalamazoo Valley Community College. Kent County is located in the western part of the state and has a population of over 600, 000 people. It is home to Grand Valley State University and Davenport University.
