Michelle Obama (NEE Robinson) is an American lawyer, writer, and the former First Lady of the United States. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, to Marian and Fraser Robinson III. She is a graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Law School, and she worked as an associate at the law firm Sidley Austin LLP before becoming the First Lady. Michelle Obama is also the author of the bestselling memoir Becoming.
