Mia Hamm is a retired American professional soccer player who is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in the history of the sport. She was a two-time Olympic gold medalist and a two-time FIFA Women's World Cup champion. Hamm played for the United States women's national soccer team from 1987 to 2004 and is the all-time leading scorer in international competition with 158 goals. She was inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame in 2007.
