The Mexican state of Sonora borders Arizona. It is the second largest state in Mexico and is located in the northwestern part of the country. It is bordered by the states of Chihuahua to the east, Sinaloa to the south, and Baja California to the west. Sonora is known for its desert landscapes, rugged mountains, and diverse wildlife.
