Mexican Ancient refers to the three civilizations that have shaped the history of Mexico: the Aztecs, the Olmecs, and the Zapatas. The Aztecs were a Mesoamerican civilization that flourished in central Mexico in the 14th to 16th centuries. The Olmecs were an ancient Pre-Columbian civilization that flourished in the Gulf Coast region of Mexico from approximately 1200 BCE to 400 BCE. Lastly, the Zapatas were a revolutionary movement led by Emiliano Zapata during the Mexican Revolution of 1910-1920.
