A meteor stream is a collection of meteors that appear to originate from the same point in the sky. The three most well-known meteor streams are the Leonids, Orionids, and Perseids. The Leonids are named after the constellation Leo and occur every November. The Orionids are named after the constellation Orion and occur every October. The Perseids are named after the constellation Perseus and occur every August.
