Mesa Verde National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Montezuma County, Colorado. It is known for its well-preserved Ancestral Puebloan cliff dwellings, which were built by the Ancient Puebloans between 600 and 1300 AD. The park covers an area of 52, 485 acres and is home to over 5, 000 archaeological sites.
