Dina Merrill is an American actress, philanthropist, and businesswoman. She was born in 1923 and is best known for her roles in films such as Desk Set, Operation Petticoat, and Butterfield 8. She was also a successful businesswoman, having served as the president of the E.F. Hutton Foundation and the chairwoman of the board of the Children's Health Fund. Merrill passed away in 2017 at the age of 93.
