Yehudi Menuhin was a renowned violinist who was born in New York City in 1916. He began playing the violin at the age of four and went on to become one of the most celebrated violinists of the 20th century. He performed with some of the world's leading orchestras and was also a conductor, composer, and teacher. He was awarded numerous honors throughout his career, including a knighthood from the British government in 1965. Menuhin died in 1999 at the age of 82.
