A Member of the Peerage is a title of nobility given to an individual in certain countries, such as the United Kingdom. The four titles of nobility that make up the Peerage are NOBLE (5 letters), EARL (4 letters), DUKE (4 letters) and BARON (5 letters). A NOBLE is the highest rank of the Peerage and is usually inherited. An EARL is the second highest rank and is also usually inherited. A DUKE is the third highest rank and is also usually inherited. A BARON is the lowest rank of the Peerage and is usually granted by the monarch.
