Megalithic monuments are large structures made of stones that were constructed in prehistoric times. Stonehenge, a 10-letter megalithic monument located in Wiltshire, England, is one of the most famous examples. Dolmen, a 6-letter megalithic monument, is another type of megalithic monument consisting of two or more upright stones supporting a large flat horizontal capstone. Stonecircle, an 11-letter megalithic monument, is a circular arrangement of standing stones. All three types of megalithic monuments are found throughout Europe and beyond.
