The Medieval Manorial Steward, also known as a REEVE, was an important figure in the Middle Ages. They were responsible for managing the estates of wealthy landowners and ensuring that all of the tenants and serfs were properly cared for. They also had to collect taxes and keep records of all transactions. The REEVE was a highly respected position and was often appointed by the King or other high-ranking officials.
