A medical assistant is a healthcare professional who assists doctors and other medical staff with administrative and clinical tasks. An ORDERLY is a type of medical assistant who is responsible for providing basic patient care, such as helping patients move around the hospital, cleaning and changing bed linens, and transporting patients to different areas of the hospital. They may also be responsible for stocking supplies and helping with other duties as needed.
