Means of payment is a term used to describe the various methods by which goods and services can be exchanged for money. Two common means of payment are CHEQUE and CASH. A CHEQUE is a written order to a financial institution to pay a specific amount of money from a person's account to the person in whose name the CHEQUE has been issued. CASH is physical currency, such as coins and paper money, that is used to purchase goods and services.
