The Mayan Empire Region is located in the Yucatan Peninsula, which is a region in southeastern Mexico. It is bordered by the Caribbean Sea to the east and the Gulf of Mexico to the west. The Mayan Empire was one of the most advanced civilizations in the pre-Columbian Americas and flourished from around 250 AD to 900 AD. The Yucatan Peninsula was home to many of the Mayan cities and sites, such as Chichen Itza, Uxmal, and Tulum.
