Mauna KEA is a volcano located on the island of Hawaii. It is the highest mountain in the state, standing at 4, 207 meters (13, 803 feet) above sea level. Mauna LOA is another volcano located on the same island and is the largest active volcano on Earth. It stands at 4, 169 meters (13, 678 feet) above sea level. Both Mauna KEA and Mauna LOA are part of the Hawaiian–Emperor seamount chain, a series of volcanoes that were formed by the Hawaiian hotspot.
