Mauna LOA is an active volcano located on the same island and is the largest volcano on Earth. It stands at 13, 678 feet above sea level. Both Mauna KEA and Mauna LOA are part of the Hawaiian–Emperor seamount chain, a series of volcanoes that were formed by the Hawaiian hotspot.
