Mauna KEA and Mauna LOA are two of the five volcanoes that make up the island of Hawaii. Mauna KEA is the highest point in the state of Hawaii, standing at 13, 796 feet above sea level. Mauna LOA is the largest volcano on Earth, measuring in at over 19, 000 feet from its base to its summit. Both of these volcanoes are considered sacred by the native Hawaiian people and are home to many endangered species.
