Martin AMIS is an English novelist, essayist, and short story writer. He is the son of the late Sir Kingsley AMIS, also a novelist. AMIS is best known for his novels Money (1984) and London Fields (1989). His work has been praised for its wit and black humor, and he has been described as one of the most influential British novelists of the last fifty years. AMIS has also written several non-fiction works, including The War Against Cliche (2001) and The Second Plane (2008).
