The term 'Martian Moon' refers to two moons of the planet Mars, DEIMOS and Phobos. DEIMOS is the outermost and smallest of the two moons, with a diameter of only 15 km. It was discovered in 1877 by Asaph Hall and is named after the Greek god of terror.
