Maestro Zubin Mehta is an Indian conductor of Western classical music. He is the Music Director for Life of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and has conducted orchestras all over the world. He has been awarded numerous honors, including the Padma Vibhushan, India's second highest civilian honor. He is known for his interpretations of the works of Richard Strauss, Gustav Mahler, and Giuseppe Verdi.
