Alan Lerner was an American lyricist and librettist. He is best known for his collaborations with composer Frederick Loewe on the musicals My Fair Lady and Brigadoon. Lerner wrote the lyrics for many popular songs, including 'On the Street Where You Live' and 'I Could Have Danced All Night'. He also wrote the book and lyrics for the musicals Camelot and Gigi. Lerner won three Tony Awards and three Academy Awards for his work.
