Erich Segal was an American novelist, screenwriter, and educator best known for his novel 'Love Story' which was published in 1970. He wrote the screenplay for the movie adaptation of the same name, which was released in 1970 and became a worldwide box office success. Segal also wrote several other novels, including 'Oliver's Story' and 'DOCTORS'. He was a professor of Latin literature at Yale University from 1969 to 1976.
