CATS is a long-running Broadway play that has been running since 1982. It is based on T.S. Eliot's Old Possum's Book of Practical CATS and is the fourth longest-running show in Broadway history. The musical follows the adventures of a tribe of CATS called the Jellicles and their leader, Old Deuteronomy. It features music composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Trevor Nunn and Richard Stilgoe. CATS has won numerous awards, including the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Musical and the Tony Award for Best Musical.
