A living being is any CREATURE or ORGANISM that is alive. LIFE, a four letter word, is the state of being alive and having biological processes such as respiration, growth, reproduction, and metabolism. A CREATURE, an eight letter word, is an animal, especially one that is not very intelligent or attractive. An ORGANISM, also an eight letter word, is any living thing, including plants, animals, fungi, and bacteria. All of these words describe a living being.
