Tara Lipinski is an American figure skater who won the 1998 Olympic gold medal in ladies' singles. She is also the 1997 World Champion and the 1997-1998 Grand Prix Final Champion. Lipinski is the youngest individual to ever win an Olympic gold medal in figure skating, at the age of 15. She is also the first female to land a triple loop-triple loop combination in competition. Lipinski retired from competitive skating in 2002 and has since become a television commentator for figure skating events.
