The term 'Lipinski Leap' is a figure skating move that was first performed by Polish figure skater, Aleksei Lipinski. The move consists of a single axel jump, which is a jump in which the skater takes off from a forward outside edge and rotates one and a half times in the air before landing on the same backward outside edge. It is considered to be a difficult move and is rarely seen in competitions.
