Library volume is a term used to describe the physical size of a BOOK or other publication. An ATLAS is a collection of maps, usually bound in a single volume, and so can be considered a library volume. A BOOK is a printed work of fiction or non-fiction, typically bound in a single volume, and so can also be considered a library volume. A TOME is a large BOOK, usually one that is scholarly or technical in nature, and so can also be considered a library volume.
