Doris Lessing was a British author who wrote novels, short stories, plays, and poetry. She was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2007 for her lifetime of work. Her most famous works include The Golden Notebook, The Grass is Singing, and The Good Terrorist. She was born in Persia in 1919 and moved to London in 1949. She passed away in 2013 at the age of 94.
