Lerner and Loewe were a musical theatre writing team composed of lyricist Alan Jay Lerner and composer Frederick Loewe. They are best known for their musicals 'Gigi', 'Camelot' and 'My Fair Lady'. 'Gigi' is a romantic comedy musical film released in 1958, based on the 1944 novella by Colette. 'Camelot' is a musical by Lerner and Loewe, based on the King Arthur legend as adapted from the T.H. White novel 'The Once and Future King'. 'My Fair Lady' is a musical based on George Bernard Shaw's play 'Pygmalion'.
