Leon Uris was an American novelist and author of the 1967 novel 'TOPAZ'. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1924 and served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. Uris wrote many other novels, including 'EXODUS' and 'TRINITY'. He passed away in 2003 at the age of 78.
