Annie Lennox of the Eurythmics is a Scottish singer, songwriter, political activist, and philanthropist. She rose to fame in the 1980s as part of the duo Eurythmics with Dave Stewart. Together they released a string of hit singles and albums that earned them international success. Lennox has since gone on to have a successful solo career, winning numerous awards including four Brit Awards, two Grammy Awards, and an MTV Video Music Award. She is also an advocate for HIV/AIDS-related charities and other causes.
