Annie Lennox is a Scottish singer, songwriter, political activist, and philanthropist. She is best known as the lead singer of the British pop duo Eurythmics, which she formed with Dave Stewart in 1980. Lennox has achieved international success with her solo career, releasing eight studio albums and winning numerous awards, including four Brit Awards, two Grammy Awards, an MTV Video Music Award, and a Golden Globe Award.
