The femur is the longest and strongest bone in the body, and is located between the hip and the KNEE. The SHANK is the lower part of the leg between the KNEE and ANKLE, and is made up of the TIBIA and fibula bones. The ANKLE is the joint between the leg and the foot, and is made up of the TIBIA, fibula, and talus bones.
