Left fielder is a position in baseball. It is one of the nine defensive positions on the field and is located in the left side of the outfield. The left fielder is responsible for catching fly balls and fielding ground balls that are hit to the left side of the field. They also have to throw the ball to other players on the field to make plays. The left fielder must have good speed and agility to be able to cover the large area of the outfield.
