Jason was the leader of the Argonauts, a group of heroes in Greek mythology. He was the son of Aeson, the rightful king of Iolcus, and was sent on a quest to retrieve the Golden Fleece from Colchis. He was aided by the goddess Hera, who provided him with a magical ship, the Argo, and a crew of legendary heroes. Jason's leadership and courage enabled the Argonauts to complete their mission and return home safely.
