The OSPREY is a large fish-eating bird of prey, also known as Pandion haliaetus. It is a large raptor, reaching more than 60 cm in length and 180 cm across the wings. It is found on all continents except Antarctica, and is a common sight along coastal areas. The OSPREY is a powerful hunter, capable of carrying prey up to three times its own weight. It feeds mainly on fish, but will also take other small animals such as rodents, reptiles, and amphibians.
