Burt Lancaster was an American actor who starred in many films throughout his career. He is best known for his roles in films such as 'From Here to Eternity', 'The Birdman of Alcatraz' and 'Elmer Gantry'. He won an Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance in 'Atlantic City'. He also received two Golden Globe Awards and a Primetime Emmy Award. He was inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960.
