Jimmy Hoffa was a labor leader in the United States who served as the president of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters from 1957 to 1971. He was known for his efforts to organize and protect the rights of union workers, and he was also involved in organized crime. Hoffa was convicted of jury tampering, attempted bribery, and fraud in 1964, and he was imprisoned until 1971. After his release, Hoffa disappeared in 1975 and was declared legally dead in 1982.
