Knight's aide is a term used to describe two different roles in the Middle Ages. A SQUIRE was a young man who served as an apprentice to a knight, learning the skills of knighthood and accompanying the knight into battle. A PAGE was a young boy who served as an attendant to a nobleman, often running errands and performing other duties. Both squires and pages were important members of a knight's entourage, providing assistance and support to the knight.
