Enid Blyton was a British author of children's books, best known for her series The Famous Five and The Secret Seven. She wrote over 800 books in her lifetime, and is one of the most successful authors of all time. Her first book, Child Whispers, was published in 1922, and she continued to write until her death in 1968. Her books have been translated into 90 languages and have sold over 600 million copies worldwide.
