Keats' Muse was ERATO, the Greek Muse of lyric poetry. ERATO was one of the nine Muses in Greek mythology, and was often depicted with a wreath of myrtle or laurel, a lyre, and a crown of roses. She was believed to inspire poets to create works of lyrical beauty and passion. John Keats, an English Romantic poet, was heavily influenced by ERATO's influence and wrote many of his most famous works under her guidance.
