The Karmann Ghia is a two-door coupe and convertible produced by Volkswagen from 1955 to 1974. It was designed by the Italian car designer Luigi Segre and the German coachbuilder Wilhelm Karmann. The Karmann Ghia was based on the Volkswagen Beetle platform, but featured a more stylish body with a low-slung chassis and a sporty look.
