Earl Warren was an American politician and jurist who served as the 14th Chief Justice of the United States from 1953 to 1969. He was a Republican Governor of California from 1943 to 1953 and is best known for his role in the Supreme Court's landmark decision in Brown v. Board of Education, which declared racial segregation in public schools unconstitutional. He also presided over the Warren Commission, which investigated the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
