The creatures featured in the 1993 film Jurassic Park are a group of genetically engineered dinosaurs, most notably the Velociraptors. Velociraptors, or 'RAPTORS' for short, were a species of small, carnivorous dinosaurs that lived during the late Cretaceous period. They were characterized by their large, sickle-shaped claws and their intelligence, which allowed them to hunt in packs. In the movie, they were portrayed as being highly intelligent and dangerous predators.
