Ganymede is the largest moon of Jupiter, with a diameter of 5, 268 km. It is the ninth largest object in the Solar System and the largest natural satellite in the Solar System. GANYMEDE is composed of approximately equal amounts of silicate rock and water ice. It is the only moon known to have its own magnetic field. GANYMEDE is also the only moon known to have an atmosphere, which is composed primarily of oxygen.
