Nora Ephron was an American filmmaker, writer, and producer best known for directing the films Julie & Julia and Sleepless in Seattle. She was nominated for three Academy Awards and won a BAFTA Award for Best Original Screenplay for When Harry Met Sally. Ephron was also the director of the film Julie & Julia, which starred Meryl Streep and Amy Adams. The film was based on the memoirs of Julie Powell and Julia Child.
