Journalist Lisa LING is an American journalist, television presenter, and author. She is best known for her work as a special correspondent on The Oprah Winfrey Show, co-host of ABC's The View, and host of National Geographic Explorer. LING has also reported for CNN, Channel One News, and the syndicated teen news magazine, FYI. She is currently the host of the CNN original series This Is Life with Lisa LING. LING's career began in journalism, where she worked as a reporter for Channel One News. She then moved to The View, where she served as a co-host from 1999 to 2002.
