John Entwistle was an English musician, songwriter, singer, and composer who was best known as the bassist for the rock band The Who. He was nicknamed 'The Ox' and was considered one of the greatest rock bassists of all time. He was also a prolific composer, writing many of the band's most popular songs. Entwistle died in 2002 at the age of 57.
